Nicole Julianne Sullivan (born April 21, 1970) is an American actress, voice actress, and comedienne.
Sullivan is best known for her six seasons on the sketch comedy series MADtv and four seasons on the CBS sitcom The King of Queens. She also played a recurring character on Scrubs. She voices Shego in the Kim Possible television series, and Louise—the owner of the cat Buckley—on the ABC Family series Slacker Cats. She also has recurring voice roles on Family Guy.
Sullivan was born in Manhattan, the daughter of Madonna, an antiques dealer, and Edward C. Sullivan, a New York State assemblyman of German origins.[1] She is of Irish, Swedish, Norwegian and German ancestry. She took dance classes at the age of seven, and performed in Off Broadway and Broadway productions with the First All-Children's Theatre. Sullivan's mother, an antiques dealer, and her father, a politician who represented Manhattan's 69th Assembly District in the New York State Assembly from 1977 to 2002, moved the family upstate to Middleburgh, New York in 1982. While at middle school, she did well enough academically to skip a grade, and later at high school was treasurer during her junior year and class president during her senior year. She played soccer in high school, recorded statistics for the boys' basketball team and was a member of student council.
After graduating as Middleburgh High School's class valedictorian in 1987, she attended Northwestern University as a theatre major. She studied William Shakespeare, Harold Pinter, Anton Chekov, Henrik Ibsen, and Greek tragedies, while working two jobs to pay her way through college and writing plays and sketches for the student theatre. Sullivan spent her junior year in London studying at the British American Drama Academy and became a member of the Greenwich Shakespeare Company. Sullivan graduated Northwestern with honors, then moved to Los Angeles to write for and perform in comedy clubs and theatres with improv and sketch comedy troupes before getting sporadic guest-starring roles.
Sullivan is married to actor Jason Packham. On May 12, 2007, Sullivan gave birth to a son, Dashel Pierce Packham, via caesarean section.
